What happened to the past two weeks?

Seriously, where did it go? There was soooo much that I was going to do over the Christmas/NewYear's holiday, but I didn't get 95% of done.

Why?

Not because I was hungover or partying it up or sleeping in until noon.

Nope.  It is because of two things:

1) Brian and I found a house to rent and signed the lease the day after Christmas. YAY!  A fucking house! Not an apartment, not a townhome, not a condo. A house with a real kitchen, 3 bedrooms and most importantly, a big backyard where our two dogs can run around and play.  B and I are so excited to move out of the crappy condo development we currently live in. (Most of the neighbors are old and/or are complete assholes who have nothing better to do than complain about hearing you fart through the wall while in your own bathroom. I'm exaggerating a bit, but I am not far off.)
Finding the house and signing the lease happened really fast, and the past week we have been painting walls, putting in new light fixtures and buying some new appliances.  I feel like a fucking grown-up. Finally at 33!!

But along with finding out we are going to move came reason #2:

2) I have been fucking sick. UGH! Yes. Since a week ago Monday, I have been fighting some mystery virus that zapped my energy, made me nauseous, and has kept me from doing much at all.  Two doctors appointment and a large amount of blood drawn resulted in a diagnosis of "Not sure what kind of virus it is, so just rest and see us if it gets a lot worse."
So that has been fun and kept me from working (had to reschedule two jobs because of this crap), packing up the house, getting some other stuff for the house done, and most importantly... BLOGGING!

There was quite a bit I was going to blog about these two weeks.  We all know THAT didn't happen.  And probably much won't happen over the next month, until I am moved into my new home and unpacked.  I might get out some quick posts of new shiny appliances (I am such a dork and I love it everyday) and perhaps something funny that I feel should be shared.

Thank you for checking in on my malnourished blog. I promise to give it some comfort food and love after the big move and I feel 100% recovered from my mystery illness.
